About Hazlet

Located in the Central Jersey region, Hazlet Township was formed in the mid-1800s from portions of Middletown. Formerly known as Raritan Township, Hazlet is named after landowner Dr. John Hazlett who had a large estate within the township.

Hazlett was the site of NJ’s last drive-in movie theater until a new drive-in theater opened in Vineland in 2004.
